Experience Designer for emerging technologies (robotics, virtual environments, and so on) but have been known to whip up a GUI or two.

With a degree in Sociology, a UX Certification from an industry-revered institution, formal Visual Arts training, and an insatiable interest in modern gizmos and gadgets, I’ve had the pleasure of dabbling in all technical and creative areas of the Human-Centered Design process.

Areas of Interest:

  • 4D Environment Design Strategy

  • Ethical and Intentional AI Implementation

  • Human-Machine Teaming

  • Cross-cultural Usability

Project Highlights

A government-orchestrated commercial solution architecture that enables instant and efficient communication, transcends geographical barriers, fosters international collaboration, and fortifies security between the US and its partner nations from enterprise to the edge.

AKA an extremely robust global network system that easily survives internet and power grid outages in times of conflict.

KELSIE is a Booz Allen created AI-assistant that uses a layered approach to AI with military mission context to control robotic assets through common language voice commands. It was showcased in a VR simulation where the user can test it out onboard a Navy carrier. KESIE enables Human-Machine Teaming by allowing warfighters to give robots commands in natural speech, and helps the robot teammates understand, or “deduce intent”.

AKA a military version of Siri, but able to operate offline and in more autonomously.

An AI capability that streamlines the data hygiene, recollection, and documentation processes for DOD physical technical manuals. Some features include automated language recognition that identifies equipment parts and designs specifications in technical manuals, applying metadata to technical diagrams for more detailed tracking, and analytics that identify similar parts, issues or supply chain concerns and solutions are cascaded across the portfolio.

AKA takes your physical manuals, runs them through an extremely intelligent algorithm, and digitizes thousands of pages within minutes for easier future discoverability and more efficient archiving.

TableTop Commander is a Synthetic Training Environment developed with the intention of creating a virtual space for joint-force military war planning, exercise planning, and warfighter skill training. The primary features were an interactable table top map and a virtual “Megatron” UI that acts as a briefing and collaboration tool within the space.

AKA a really impressive VR space for classified meetings and ”in person” collaborative military mission planning.
